## Section 1 - The problem: "Where should I start?"

If you are new to gold trading, you have probably typed some version of this question: "Where should I actually start?"

It is one of the most common questions beginners ask in trading communities. And the answers they get are usually a list of advanced names: learn this concept, learn that model, watch this live session.

The problem is not that those topics are useless. The problem is the order. Many beginners study advanced material before they can read a single candle with confidence. Then they wonder why nothing connects.

So in this video we are not going to give you a strategy or a signal. We are going to give you a sequence. Basics first. Structure second. One setup third. Execution and risk last. By the end you will have a simple 30-day study plan and a checklist you can review on your own.

## Section 2 - Cause one: learning in the wrong order

Think of trading knowledge as layers.

Layer one is the language of the chart: what a candle is, what open, high, low and close mean, and how a session opens and closes.

Layer two is structure: trend, swing highs and swing lows, and the areas where price has reacted before.

Layer three is a setup: one specific, written rule for when you would consider a trade.

Advanced concepts mostly live on top of layers one and two. If you jump straight to layer three, every explanation assumes something you have not learned yet. You can memorize the vocabulary, but you cannot apply it, because you cannot see the structure it describes.

That is not a talent problem. It is an order problem. And order problems can be fixed.

## Section 3 - Cause two: a video feed is not a curriculum

The second cause is how most of us learn: through a feed.

A feed is designed to show you the next interesting video. A curriculum is designed to show you the next necessary lesson. Those are very different things.

In a feed you might watch a lesson on an advanced entry model, then a market recap, then a psychology clip, then a beginner video on candles, all in one evening. Each one makes sense on its own. Together they do not build anything.

There is another trap. Many examples are explained on charts where the outcome is already visible. Looking back, every move seems obvious. When you are looking at the right edge of a live chart, it never is.

So the fix is to stop collecting random lessons and start following a fixed order, with a small piece of evidence that you finished each step.

## Section 4 - Step one: the first stage (days 1 to 10) is only four things

For the first stage, days 1 to 10, focus on only four things. They combine the chart language from layer one with a first look at structure from layer two.

One: candle anatomy. Body, wick, open, close. On any timeframe, you should be able to explain what a single candle tells you.

Two: trend. Higher highs and higher lows, lower highs and lower lows, and the messy middle where there is no clear trend. Practice labeling them on a higher timeframe first.

Three: levels. Areas where price reacted more than once. Draw them as zones, not perfect lines.

Four: the words of risk. Position size, stop loss, risk per trade, and why a fixed small risk is a common rule in many trading education courses. You do not need to trade yet. You need to understand the words.

If something is not on this list, it can wait.

## Section 5 - Step two: one setup and a practice journal

Once the four basics feel familiar, choose one setup. Just one.

For example, a trend-continuation idea: the trend is clear on a higher timeframe, price pulls back to an area that mattered before, and you wait for a defined confirmation that you wrote down in advance. This is only an example of how to define a rule. It is not a recommendation to trade it.

Then practice it on historical charts or a demo account, and write every example in a journal. The journal template on screen has simple columns: date, timeframe, setup rule met yes or no, planned entry, planned stop, planned target, outcome in R, and one note on what you learned.

The number of practice examples is your choice. What matters is that every one is recorded the same way, so you can review the pattern instead of your feelings.

## Section 6 - Step three: execution and fixed risk

The last step is execution. Before any practice trade, answer four questions.

Is my setup rule fully met, or am I hoping?

Where is my stop, and does it sit where my idea is clearly wrong?

Is my position size calculated from a fixed risk I decided before the session?

Do I know what I will do if price hits my target, my stop, or neither?

If any answer is no, there is no trade. Skipping a trade is a valid result.

Remember that practice results on historical charts or a demo account do not predict live results. Spreads, slippage and emotions are different with real money. Many traders lose money. The point of this roadmap is better process, not a promised outcome.

## Section 7 - The 30-day plan

Here is how the 30 days can look.

Days 1 to 10: the four basics. Each day, label candles, trend and levels on one chart, and write one sentence about what you saw.

Days 11 to 20: write your one setup rule. Find historical examples, and record every one in the journal, including the ones that would have failed.

Days 21 to 30: demo practice with the four-question execution checklist and a fixed risk on paper. At the end of each week, review the journal.

On day 30 your deliverable is not a profit number. It is a written setup rule, a completed journal, and an honest list of what you still do not understand.

## Section 8 - Checklist and next step

Let us close with a five-line checklist you can screenshot.

One: Can I explain a candle and the trend on my chart?

Two: Did I draw levels as zones?

Three: Is my setup written as a rule?

Four: Is every practice example in my journal?

Five: Did I use fixed risk and the four-question checklist every time?

If you can say yes to all five, you have a foundation to keep learning from. If not, go back one step. That is the roadmap working, not failing.
