two reasons it happens. One — your stop is a fixed number of pips away from entry, so it

When price is hunting orders — and it is, every single session — a stop in the wrong
neighborhood gets swept first.

### PHẦN 2 — Rule 1: Structure, not pips (2:00-4:30)

"Rule one: place your stop where the trade becomes INVALID — not at a fixed distance.

A setup is invalid the moment price breaks a specific structural level. For a long, that's
the swing low that defines the move you're trading. For a short, the swing high. If price
takes out that level, your thesis is dead — the stop belongs just beyond it, not ten pips
away because ten pips feels safe.

A viewer on that same video actually figured this out — they wrote: 'Safest is put your
SL at previous market structure low. By definition that's the beginning of the current
trend.' They're right. The structure low IS the invalidation point. Your stop goes behind
it. Not in front of it, not next to it — behind the level that would prove you wrong.

"Rule two: give the stop breathing room — an ATR buffer.

Even with the stop in the right place, pure noise can touch it. ATR — average true
range — tells you how much this instrument moves just being itself. On XAUUSD, a 1-hour
ATR can be three to five dollars during active sessions. If your stop sits exactly AT the
structure level, noise alone can trigger it before the real move.

stop loss.' Fair. Here's the short version: read the current ATR on your timeframe, and
place the stop beyond the structure level by a fraction of it — not more. The ATR tells
you the noise; the structure tells you the level. Buffer is the gap between them, and
it's the smallest gap that noise can't reach.

"Rule three: the distance to your stop decides your position size — never the other way
around.

Once the stop is placed by structure and buffered by ATR, measure the distance in pips.
Decide your risk — for this channel it's two percent of the account, and I'll link the
video where I break that down. Then size = risk ÷ distance. If the distance is wide, your
size is small. If someone tells you their size first and their stop second, they're
gambling with extra steps.

The order matters: structure first, ATR second, size last. Get it backwards and every
rule in this video stops working."

"One real trade, two versions.

Version one — the stop by feel. Entry long, stop 15 pips away, right inside a liquidity
pocket below the low. Price sweeps the low by six pips — the comment with 214 likes:
'BOMB, it fell 50 pips in less than a minute, hit my SL.' Stopped out. Then price rallies
80 pips in the direction predicted. Right direction. Wrong place. That's the hunt.

Version two — the same setup, stop behind the swing low with ATR buffer. Same sweep. The
sweep doesn't reach it. The trade runs. Same market, same entry, same direction — one
result is minus one R, the other is plus two R.

And yes — version two sometimes still gets stopped out. When the structure genuinely
breaks, the stop does its job. That's not failure, that's the system working. I'll show
you a losing one too, because only showing wins is how channels lie to you."

One — is my stop behind a structure level, not a round number? Two — did I add an ATR
buffer for noise? Three — did I calculate size from the distance, risk at two percent?

understand it was still correctly placed?

If any answer is no, the trade isn't ready. Save it. There's always another setup — the
market opens again tomorrow."
